Venison is a great choice for your dog for a number of reasons. Wild game animals eat a wide variety of food giving them a higher level of antioxidants in their meat. Venison contains lower levels of fat too as grains are not a large part of their diets and they’re not raised for maximum weight like farmed animals are. Because venison is a novelty meat, it’s a great choice for dogs with sensitivities to common proteins.
